Information:
James has represented the first and only known claim where the United States has admitted liability for the cancer and subsequent death of a non-military civilian worker from Agent Orange as stated in Kramm v. US Department of Army Mobility Equipment Demand, Saigon, Republic of Vietnam 105 LRP 52075 (10/01/2006). The US Government Accounting Office estimates the possibility of up to 171,000 similar claims by federal civilian employees. All other claims, except Kramm, have been denied to date.

Another key example includes a case where James successfully represented a Social Security claimant who had been repeatedly denied disability benefits. Upon appeal to the US 10th Circuit Court of Appeals, that Circuit Court agreed with James's arguments, awarded benefits, and established precedent in Cruse v. U.S. Dept. of Health & Human Services, 49 F.3d 614 (C.A.10 (Okla.), 1995).

In 1993 James was featured in the Oklahoma Bar Journal, Vol. 64, No. 35, a detailed procedural article, “Social Security Law, Making Intelligible the Unintelligible,” which focused on describing in detail the procedures required to assist and represent a person through the complicated process of obtaining Social Security disability.
